The Axiomatic Engine Cycle (AEC) is a formal framework specifying the chain-matched processes by which an agent performs an externally integrative and internally unifying operation. It originated in the FMI framework as the Axiomatic Correspondence Engine (ACE) — a single compass mechanism for directional alignment — and evolved across ACT, NUMEN, and MIM into a six-engine cycle designated CAPCOM-E. AEC is related to PACAD (Profiles with Axiomatic Canons and Domains) by complementary core concerns: • AEC's core concern: ARE — recursion; AEC governs the process layer. • PACAD's core concern: AME — mapping; PACAD stabilizes the representational layer. • DQEP's core concern: ACE — correspondence; governs evidence qualification. • DIAD's core concern: ABE — bridging; governs session-level architecture. AEC and PACAD coordinate through APE and the ARE-engine output. AEC drives processes; PACAD stabilizes what those processes produce.
