The paper presents the range of soil quality variations in the agricultural zone of the Amur Oblast. Meadow chernozem-like soils have the highest standard yields, productivity scores, and cadastral value, while marsh and peat soils have the lowest. Drained lands have better soil quality and higher cadastral value. Particularly valuable lands at the regional level occupy 82.1% of the agricultural land area of the Amur Oblast and are characterized by average and below average productivity scores. The paper presents the weighted average median cadastral values for the natural zones of the Amur Oblast. The highest weighted average median values were recorded in the southern forest-steppe zone (4.77 rubles/m2). In the central pre–forest-steppe zone, the weighted average cadastral value is 2.52 rubles/m2, and in the northern zone adjacent to taiga it is 1.09 rubles/m2.
