The role of drainage in regulation of water exchange of irrigated lands on saline lands

In arid climate conditions, horizontal, vertical or combined drainage finds successful application in regulating the salt regime of irrigated lands. The article presents the calculation of water-salt balance on the old irrigated lands of Bukhara region in Uzbekistan. The graph of the dependence of collector-drainage flow on water intake in Bukhara region is given. The development and implementation of modern water-saving irrigation methods and advanced low-cost technologies for the purification and desalination of low-mineralized collector-drainage waters with subsequent reuse for irrigation were recommended
