Abstract In this work I shall focus on contexts in which the element of identity politics is central to the construction of the friend/enemy dichotomy that characterises the dichotomous, anti-elitist and moralising approach typical of populism. For the purposes of this article, I shall deal with the constitutional law aspects, specifically examining the relationship between memory politics and identity politics in shaping the constitutional counter-narratives advanced by populists in power.
