In this issue of Blood, Wiegand et al 1 evaluate the prevalence and hematopoietic localization of clonal hematopoiesis (CH) and lymphoma-associated mutations in a cohort of patients with B-cell lymphomas.Although the association between CH and myeloid malignancy is well established, data regarding lymphoid disease are more limited.Lymphoid-specific clonal mutations appear less frequent than canonical myeloid CH in the general population but are associated with an increased risk of subsequent lymphoid cancers. 2
