This paper explores the utilisation of social and virtual media platforms by Islamic extremists’ groups to spy on and challenge them. Social media networks are frequently used to express opinions, engage in discussions, and cultivate communities of individuals with similar interests. The primary focus of the coming paper is to investigate the operational capabilities of digital platforms that facilitate the widespread dissemination of extremist beliefs and hacking activities to a worldwide audience. Additionally, the study examined how the use of war-related metaphors plays a role in luring individuals to participate in these activities. The study demonstrated that platforms facilitate the swift and extensive propagation of hate organisations' ideologies, as well as the distribution of guidelines on how to garner support for their causes. By comprehending how groups utilise social media platforms to make themselves reachable to their target audience, one can ascertain the process by which followers transition from active participation to executing commands.
