The proposed system, “Online Voting System with Face Recognition,” aims to provide a secure, transparent, and efficient digital voting platform. It addresses the limitations of traditional voting methods such as voter impersonation, long queues, and high operational costs by integrating face recognition-based authentication. The system uses the OpenCV-based LBPH (Local Binary Patterns Histogram) algorithm to perform real-time facial verification during both registration and voting phases, ensuring one-person-one-vote integrity. The application is developed using React JS for the front-end, Spring Boot for the back-end, and MySQL for database management, providing a scalable and user-friendly environment. To enhance security, AES encryption is employed for secure data transmission, while SHA hashing protects sensitive user credentials. The admin module enables election management, candidate registration, voter monitoring, and result publication. By leveraging cloud-based access and advanced authentication mechanisms, the system improves accessibility for remote voters while maintaining high security standards. Overall, this solution enhances trust, efficiency, and reliability in modern electronic voting systems.
