NDLI and Kendriya Vidyalaya Libraries: Establishing a Common Knowledge Ecosystem- Mr. Animesh Mahata (Email- amahata75@gmail.com), Librarian, PMSHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Kharagpur, Paschim Medinipur- 721302 Dr. Bibek Mahata (Email- mahatabibek@gmail.com), Librarian, Narajole Raj College, Narajole, Paschim Medinipur -721211 The National Digital Library of India (NDLI),initiated as pilot project in April 2015 by the Ministry of Education of the Government of India (GOI), has grown into a revolutionary digital resource that provides access to millions of academic publications in a wide range of languages and fields. By offering inclusive andquality education, KendriyaVidyalayas (KV), pace setting institutionsrun by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) under the Ministry of Education of GOI play a crucial role in shaping the future of the nation. A shared knowledge ecosystem that combines digital innovation and conventional education can be established by connecting NDLI with Kendriya Vidyalaya libraries. In order to strengthen the library services offered by Kendriya Vidyalayas, this study looks at how NDLI can increase resource accessibility, support multilingual education, guarantee fair access for both urban and rural schools, and assist educators and learners in fostering critical thinkingand love for lifelong learning. According to the study, the partnership between NDLI and Kendriya Vidyalaya libraries can democratize knowledge, bridge the digital divide, and advance the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by redefining school libraries as dynamic knowledgehubs in the twenty-first century.
