The article examines the current aspects of motivating employees of financial and credit institutions, using the example of VTB Bank. The objectives of the study are to identify, analyze, and evaluate the material and non-material incentives that are considered the most effective and in demand by the management of financial and credit institutions. Achieving high results in the professional field is impossible without a deep understanding of what motivates employees. It is necessary to identify the driving forces of human activity, determine the motivating factors, and understand the fundamental motives behind an employee’s specific actions. Only by possessing this knowledge can one expect to succeed in building an effective human resources management system. The article analyzes the results of expert surveys aimed at identifying effective motivational tools and approaches, including those based on recognizing the achievements of VTB Bank employees, which can serve as the foundation for creating an effective corporate system of material and non-material motivation. In the course of the analysis, various incentives for employees and internal drivers that activate and motivate personnel to work productively and efficiently were studied. The authors of the article have developed a set of practical measures aimed at further improving the system of employee motivation at VTB Bank.
