The article presents the results of an analysis of methodological aspects of evaluating the effectiveness of staff motivation systems and digital tools to ensure such effectiveness. This article is a continuation of an earlier study on new approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of employees in small business organizations in the context of digitalization. The relevance of the topic under study lies in the fact that digital tools currently make it possible to build a systematic monitoring of the effectiveness of small business organizations based on quantitative and qualitative indicators. The purpose of the article is to present the results of a study of approaches to the development of systems for evaluating the effectiveness of motivation and incentive systems in small business organizations. In accordance with the stated goal, the following tasks were set and solved: the analysis of indicators used to assess the effectiveness of incentive mechanisms in small businesses was carried out, and a practical example of the introduction of a digital motivation system in a small business enterprise was presented as an approbation of author’s proposals. The scientific novelty of the provisions of the article consists in forming a list of key methods for evaluating effectiveness available for use in the practice of small business organizations, taking into account current digital tools. The authors identified the need to actively use various digital tools as elements and tools for evaluating motivation systems, which can be used in the practice of Russian organizations to develop and implement methodological documents and improve business processes.
