The essence and functional value of any phenomenon become more evident when examined through comparison. In this regard, the linguistic characteristics of architectural and construction terminology—considered a specialized segment of the broader terminological system—can be more clearly understood through comparative analysis. Language, as a dynamic social construct and a primary medium of communication, continuously evolves in response to scientific, technological, and socio-cultural developments. Consequently, the expansion and integration of domain-specific terminology necessitate systematic organization, standardization, and linguistic evaluation by specialists, lexicographers, and terminographers. This study highlights the importance of cross-linguistic analysis of architectural and construction terms, emphasizing the need to define their structural, semantic, and lexical boundaries. Such analysis contributes to the development of terminological systems, facilitates the creation of electronic dictionaries, enhances corpus-based linguistic representation, and supports high-quality machine translation and applied linguistic technologies.
