AbstractThis white paper proposes a cautious hypothesis concerning the interpretation ofvacuum distortion within a broader stability-centered framework of adaptive systemsand representation. The central suggestion is not that vacuum distortions are signals,nor that known physical phenomena should be reclassified as intelligence-generatedstructures, but that certain classes of field distortions may be understood asrepresentation-dependent manifestations of structured instability.Within this view, vacuum distortion is treated as a local deviation from a minimallyloaded field configuration, expressible as an increase in instability, structural burden, orconfigurational stress. The paper further explores the possibility that some phenomenacurrently classified as background physical structure may, under alternativerepresentational frameworks, exhibit latent organization not captured by standardobservational categories.This is presented strictly as a hypothesis. Its purpose is not to replace existing physicaltheory, but to introduce a conceptual bridge between field structure, bounded viability,and the problem of detectability. The broader implication is that the distinctionbetween “physical process,” “signal,” and “structured information” may depend in parton the representational architecture of the observing system.
