The article discusses the legal problems of distinguishing the types of crimes related to human trafficking and prostitution. The article analyzes both objective and subjective signs of these acts, as well as law enforcement practice in Russia and the UAE. Special attention is paid to cases related to the recruitment of women in Dubai, which highlights the need for precise legal qualifications and legislative specification of concepts. The author explores differences in approaches to the legal regulation of these crimes, identifying gaps and contradictions in national legislation. In conclusion, the article suggests ways to overcome them in order to ensure a more effective fight against these forms of crime, which is important for protecting human rights and improving legal security in society.
