This document reports the protocol for a systematic review on situational interest in physical education. The protocol is developed in accordance with the PRISMA‑P (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta‑Analysis Protocols) 2015 guidelines and pre‑specifies the review objectives, eligibility criteria, information sources, search strategy, study selection procedures, data extraction, risk of bias assessment, and methods for narrative synthesis. The review focuses on (a) associations between students’ individual characteristics and situational interest in physical education, and (b) the effects of pedagogical and experimental interventions on situational interest and its dimensions. This version constitutes Version 1 of the protocol and is intended to promote transparency, reproducibility, and methodological rigor.
