The existing body of theoretical and empirical research consistently indicates a positive correlation between Employee Engagement (EE) and Psychological Capital (PsyCap). Furthermore, prior research has established correlations between PsyCap and several organisational variables, including leadership, employee attitudes and behaviours, workplace outcomes, and job performance. Simultaneously, employee engagement (EE) has been found to have a favourable impact on many workplace outcomes and employee performance. PsyCap is gaining relevance in the contemporary business landscape, often referred to as the VUCA Environment. Organisations face a formidable undertaking in their efforts to augment employee engagement levels. The attributes of the VUCA environment necessitate enduring employee practices that foster heightened employee engagement. The study reviews the literature on the relationship between employee engagement and psychological capital, considering several organisational variables, to develop a theoretical framework.
