The main objective of this study is to examine the Impact of the hydrological network on the Development of the water basin in Nigeria. The specific objectives were to examine the impact of Surface Water Stations on the Development of the water basin and evaluate the impact of Groundwater Stations on the Development of the water basin in Nigeria. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 25.0. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to test the study's hypotheses. A descriptive cross-sectional research design was adopted for the study. The result reveals that Surface Water Stations have a significant positive impact on the Development of the Water Basin, with a p-value of (0.019 < 0.05), and Groundwater Stations have a significant positive impact on the Development of the water basin, with a p-value of (0.024 < 0.05) in Nigeria. The study concluded that the hydrological network has a significant positive impact on the Development of the water basin in Nigeria. The study concluded that the Nigerian government should endeavour to intensify investment in both surface and groundwater monitoring systems as a unified strategy for water basin development
