This deposit introduces promptPaper, a self-contained artifact format for corpus-grounded, traceable, and audience-adaptive AI communication. A promptPaper combines a source corpus, an executable natural-language prompt specification, and explicit usage conditions in a single versionable file. The format is intended to reduce source drift, instruction drift, and rights ambiguity in AI-mediated communication, especially for original, technically dense, or early-stage innovation contexts. The paper defines the format, specifies its intended execution semantics, discusses limits and degradation modes under restricted model capacity, and positions the approach relative to adjacent work in structured prompting, provenance, retrieval-augmented generation, and reproducible research. This Zenodo deposit documents the introduction of the term promptPaper and the author's reference specification of the format.
