Abstract：Computer Applications Fundamentals is a compulsory public basic course for all majors in vocational education. It plays an important role in cultivating students’ basic information literacy and supporting both professional learning and future career development. At present, students in vocational colleges come from diverse backgrounds, and their levels of computer proficiency vary significantly. In light of the educational objectives of vocational education, this paper analyzes the necessity of implementing tiered (differentiated) teaching in the Computer Applications Fundamentals course, examines the difficulties encountered in current practice in vocational colleges, and focuses on classroom teaching realities to propose directions for concrete implementation. The aim is to stimulate students’ learning initiative and improve both teaching quality and students’ computer application competence.
