Abstract:Objective:To explore the practical application effect of clinical microbiological testing and detection in the prevention and control of nosocomial infections, with the aim of providing evidence-based evidence for reducing the risk of nosocomial infections in clinical practice. Methods:A total of 160 patients who were hospitalizedin our hospital from April 2023 to April 2024 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into two groups by the ball-touching method, with 80 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received conventional symptomatic treatment; The observation group,on the basis of the conventional treatment of the control group, systematically implemented regular and standardized clinical microbiological tests and detections. The intervention value of microbiological testing was evaluated by comparing the occurrence and severity of nosocomial infections in the two groups of patients. Result: The incidence of nosocomial infection in the observation group was 8.75%,significantly lower than 35.00% in the control group. The difference between the groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05). In addition, among the patients with infection, the severity of infection in the observation group was significantly less than that in the control group, and the difference was also statistically significant(P < 0.05). Conclusion:During the treatment of inpatients, regular clinical microbiological testing and detection can significantly reduce the incidence of nosocomial infections and effectively alleviate the degree of infection. This has important clinical significance for improving the level of hospital infection control and the prognosisof patients, and is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.
