Aneurysms of venous bypass grafts are rare but could lead to poor outcomes for patients. There is also ongoing interest in adverse events related to drug-eluting devices. We report on a unique case of aneurysmal degeneration in a femoropopliteal venous graft, six years after bypass surgery, from a drug-eluting stent deployed two years later for graft stenosis. We discuss pathophysiological mechanisms relating to aneurysmal degeneration of venous bypass grafts and management of this adverse outcome.
