The Effectiveness of a Proposed Educational Unit Based on Productive Education in Developing Productive Concepts and Skills in the Subject of Social Studies among Third-Year Intermediate Female Students in Makkah Abstract The current research aims to measure the effectiveness of a proposed educational unit based on productive education in developing productive concepts and skills in the subject of social studies among third-year intermediate female students in Makkah. The research has adopted descriptive analytical and the quasi-experimental approach with a single group design. It has adopted the descriptive analytical approach to create lists of productive concepts and skills, then preparing a proposed educational unit based on productive education in the subject of social studies, and creating the two study tools (The cognitive achievement test of productive concepts, and the measure of productive skills), and ensuring their validity and reliability. The two study tools were applied, before and after, on the study sample consisting of (32) third-year intermediate female students in Makkah for the first semester of the academic year 1444-1445H (2022-2023G), where one of the intermediate schools in Makkah was chosen randomly. The data was analyzed statistically using the Statistical Package for the Social Studies (SPSS), to calculate arithmetic means and standard deviations, the t-test for the correlated sample, and the Pearson correlation coefficient to calculate the values of the post-cognitive achievement test and the post-productive skills measure to know the correlation, and the value of (Eta Squared) was calculated to calculate the size of the effectiveness of the proposed educational unit. Findings of the Research: The presence of statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the average scores of the female students at the study group in the pre- and post-applications in the cognitive achievement test of productive concepts and skills measure in favor of the post-application. It also confirmed the existence of a strong, statistically significant direct correlation at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) between the post-cognitive achievement test and the post-productive skills measure, amounting to (0.83). It also demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed unit based on productive education in developing productive concepts and skills in the subject of social studies among third-year intermediate school female students in Makkah. The impact factor of the Eta square was respectively (0.88-0.93). Recommendations of the Research: Including the proposed educational unit based on productive education in developing productive concepts and skills in the subject
