The objective of the research is to measure the effect of applying the service-learning strategy on secondary school students while learning art education on the development of their mental abilities represented in each of the thinking skills. The research followed the semi-experimental approach and was conducted on a sample of 60 high school students. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the averages of the control and experimental groups in the post-measurement at the level of reflective and critical thinking skills, where the significance level came with values less than 0.05 on all skills, and the difference was in favor of the experimental group. Meanwhile, there were no statistically significant differences between the control and experimental groups in the post-measurement at the level of creative thinking skills. It was also found that there was a statistically significant difference between the averages of the pre -and post - measurements of the experimental group at the level of all thinking skills, as the level of significance came with a value less than 0.05 in favor of the post measurement. This indicates that there is a high impact of using the service-learning strategy in developing the thinking skills.
