Background: The Euromelanoma campaign is a project that originated in Belgium in 1999 with the aim of raising awareness among the population about the primary and secondary prevention of cutaneous melanoma. Currently, participation has expanded to other European countries, and it is now the official skin cancer prevention campaign of the European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO). The Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology has been participating in this initiative since 2000. After the first years of the campaign, the focus has broadened, now including not only melanoma but also other common forms of skin cancer.
