Routing is essential for ensuring efficient and reliable data transmission in computer networks. This paper presents the design and development of a Routing Simulator that models and analyzes the behavior of routing protocols under varying network conditions. The simulator supports customizable network topologies, real-time packet visualization, and performance evaluation of protocols such as RIP, OSPF, and BGP. It enables comparative analysis based on key metrics including convergence time, packet delivery efficiency, and fault tolerance. By simulating scenarios like link failures and dynamic topology changes, the tool provides insights into protocol performance, scalability, and adaptability. The simulator serves as a practical platform for understanding routing mechanisms beyond theoretical concepts, making it useful for both academic learning and research in network communications.
