Key Points
The aim is to investigate the effects of early SGLT2 inhibitors in patients with acute heart failure.
Randomized trial design
Intervention with SGLT2 inhibitors in acute heart failure patients
Evaluation of cardiovascular outcomes and renal function changes
Significant improvement in cardiovascular outcomes observed with SGLT2 inhibitors compared to control (HR 0.75, 95% CI 0.60-0.95, p=0.021).
Renal function was preserved in the intervention group (eGFR change: +5 mL/min).
