Abstract

Teaching Points Buschke-Lowenstein Tumor (BLT) is a rare tumor that can transform malignantly. Hypercalcemia in BLT can occur without elevated PTHrP levels. Surgery is crucial for definitive management of hypercalcemia in BLT. Hypercalcemia in BLT may be driven by malignant transformation and cytokine signaling. Clinical Relevance: Recognizing hypercalcemia as a complication of Buschke-LowensteinTumor is critical, especially without typical markers like PTHrP.This case emphasizes the importance of surgical resection for managing both the tumor and its associated hypercalcemia.Further exploration into the mechanisms and molecular signaling pathways of hypercalcemia in such rare malignancies is needed.
