ABSTRACT This letter presents a low radar cross‐section (RCS) dual‐band antenna using integrated dual‐transmission frequency selective rasorber (FSR). The FSR exhibits two broadband absorptions (3.7–10.5 GHz and 12.6–14.6 GHz) and two passbands at 11.8 and 16.0 GHz. To exploit this spectral behavior, a dual‐band antenna is designed using dipole arms and split‐ring resonators to operate within the two transmission bands of FSR. The performance of integrated design is then evaluated using a array of the FSR coupled with the dual‐band antenna. To validate the simulated design, prototypes of an integrated antenna (IA) are fabricated and measured. The proposed IA, in comparison with the standalone antenna, achieves more than 10 dB monostatic RCS reduction from 4.3 to 10.8 GHz, 12–13 GHz, and 15.3–15.6 GHz, with corresponding average reductions of 14, 11.4, and 12.5 dB, respectively, while maintaining the radiation performance. Further, in comparison to the conventional antenna, the proposed IA achieves total average bistatic RCS reduction of 88% and 84% in the frequency range of 2.0–11.6 and 12.2–15.0 GHz, respectively. The proposed integrated design allows the antenna to function effectively within its dual operational bands while absorbing in the out‐of‐band region, making it a suitable candidate for dual‐band applications in stealth technology.
