The rapid expansion of digital technology has significantly transformed electoral politics in India reshaping how voters access information form opinions and participate in democratic processes. This study examines the combined impact of social media, fake news and family communication on voter behavior in India. With the widespread use of platforms such as Whats app, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, political actors increasingly employ digital strategies to mobilize support, frame public issues, and directly engage with citizens. While these platforms enhance political participation and information accessibility they also facilitate the rapid dissemination of misinformation and fake news which can distort voter perceptions intensify polarization and undermine trust in democratic institutions.
