Multiferroic materials are not only of great importance for fundamental science but also hold significant potential for applications.Ferromagnetic/ferroelectric multiferroic heterostructures provide a new approach for electric-field control of magnetism and resistance states, thereby supporting the development of low-energy spintronic devices. In this review, we systematically summarize our research progress on electric-field control of magnetism and resistance states in multiferroic heterostructures. We focus on the behavior and mechanisms of electric-field control of magnetism and further demonstrate the control of magnetic properties and corresponding resistance states in magnetic tunnel junctions-the core element for spintronics. Finally, the future development trends and challenges in this field are prospected.
