Case report on a rare instance of urinary tuberculosis in a 14-year-old patient
Diagnosis based on the presentation of sterile pyuria and recurrent UTIs
Laparoscopic surgical approach employed for management
Identification of urinary tuberculosis as a cause of recurrent UTIs in the patient
Successful application of a laparoscopic approach despite intense scarring from the disease
Demonstrated safety and feasibility of laparoscopic management in the case
Abstract
UG-TB must be suspected in patients with recurrent UTIs who present with sterile pyuria. Laparoscopic approach is safe and feasible in spite of the intense scarring associated with this pathology.
