To effectively utilize CO2, the generation of carbon materials using CO2 as a raw material has gained attention. In this study, we developed a system that supplies CO generated from the electrolysis of CO2 using SOEC (Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell) to an iron-based catalyst for continuous generation of solid carbon. By doping the SOEC electrode with GDC (Gadolinium-doped ceria), we suppressed carbon deposition and were able to stably electrolyze CO2 at an electrolysis current of 1 A/cm² and an electrolysis voltage of 1.5 V to produce solid carbon with the iron-based catalyst.
