This study presents a spatiotemporal analysis of Land Use Land Cover (LULC) changes in North Guwahati from 2015 to 2025 using remote sensing and GIS techniques. The results reveal a significant increase in built-up areas from 13% in 2015 to 43% in 2025, indicating rapid urban expansion. In contrast, natural vegetation declined from 57% to 38%, while agricultural land also decreased over the study period. Water bodies remained relatively constant. NDVI analysis further confirms vegetation degradation due to urbanization. The findings highlight a strong inverse relationship between built-up expansion and vegetation cover, emphasizing the need for sustainable land-use planning and environmental management strategies.
