To date, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs are widely used in the complex treatment of odontogenic inflammatory diseases, but the frequent use of antibiotics leads to changes in the composition and properties of microorganisms, as well as their sensitivity to antibiotics. An overview of the etiological and pathogenetic aspects of odontogenic inflammatory diseases is presented, which examines modern scientific data on the study of pathogens of odontogenic infections and their sensitivity to antibiotics. In this regard, studies aimed at improving the quality of drug treatment of odontogenic inflammatory diseases with the determination of the sensitivity of microflora to antibiotics are relevant.
