Early archaeological find notices for the al-Ṣalaylī valley show multi-period copper mining and Early Iron Age hut tombs. Recently, survey results enable a more stringent differentiation between tomb types from the Wādī Sūq to the Early Iron Age. The copper production remains in the valley can be compared to the more intensively researched ones at al-Rākī.
