This study developed and implemented a self-awareness program as part of a career guidance program for college students in their early years who are undecided about their future. This program measured positive psychological capital to determine whether it could help reduce anxiety about the future and enhance positivity in these students. The nine-session program was designed to evaluate its effectiveness with 17 students in the experimental group and 20 students in the control group. Pre-test results confirmed that the experimental and control groups were homogeneous. An analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was conducted, with post-test scores as the dependent variable and pre-test scores as the covariate. The results showed that the experimental group, which received the self-awareness program, significantly higher scores on overall positive psychological capital and several subscales (self-efficacy, hope, and optimism) than the control group. Based on these findings, educational implications and policy recommendations for supporting University students in their careers are proposed.
