Abstract

Archaeological, textual, and other sources have been combined in a digital model of Babylon, here illustrated with the Ishtar Gate, the Street of Procession and the palace area around it. A new interpretation of the area with successive rebuilding on always higher levels during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II is the result of the analysis.
