The text and images in this contribution provide insight into the still unfinished process of Renske Tiemersma’s artistic research residency. In her artistic research, she seeks an activist perspective on neurodiversity. Fascinated by tactility, the body and material fetish, she explores how fetish and discomfort can go hand-in-hand with an invitation to endure that discomfort and play with it. This is a parallel experience shared by many neurodivergent people: one of regular discomfort and learning to deal with it.
