Abstract This research paper provides an in-depth comparative analysis of the Indian anti-defection law vs Global Anti-defection laws. It explains that the main reason for people's hatred towards politics is the selfishness of leaders and their tendency to switch parties. In other countries, these issues are less frequent due to stronger constitutional provisions. The study analyzes the anti-defection laws of various countries, including examples of one-party, two-party, and multi-party systems. It reviews the historical context, provisions, and effectiveness of these laws. The paper criticizes India's laws, focusing on disqualification criteria, the role of the Speaker, and adherence to party whips. The main goal of the study is to understand how these laws in different countries impact democratic governance and political stability. Additionally, the paper suggests reforms based on the unique problems and objectives of each country. Ultimately, the research emphasizes the need for reform in Indian politics and calls for necessary steps to bring political integrity to society.
