The Černohajev Manuscripts: Critical Edition with English Translation, Editorial Commentary, and Master Inventory This deposit contains the complete critical edition of the technical manuscripts of V.A. Černohaev (in family-preferred Latin transliteration, Černohajev; 1948–2019), a Soviet-Latvian aerospace engineer who graduated from the Riga Civil Aviation Engineers Institute (RKIIGA) and worked at the Sary-Shagan / Priozersk test range from approximately 1981 to 1986. The corpus comprises 120 pages of handwritten and typewritten Russian-language manuscripts produced over approximately two decades, developing a unified theoretical framework the author calls Gravitational-Charge Dualism (Гравитационно-Зарядовый Дуализм, GCD) and applying it to the closed-form engineering specification of a controlled thermonuclear synthesis propulsion system. The critical edition presents sixteen documents covering 119 pages of the source documents including: twelve numbered works (Работы №1–№12, including Работа №2 with its Supplements №2¹ and №2²), three unnumbered works (the Ball Lightning section on PDF pp. 2–4, the Hot TYS d+d water-fueled reactor paper on PDF pp. 5–11, and Supplement №2³ specifying the Magnetic-Charge Generator on PDF pp. 52–55), and a comprehensive Master Inventory and Cross-Reference Guide. Each critical edition follows a consistent structure: an Editor's Note establishing context and source verification; a three-layer source presentation per page (source description, Russian transcription, English translation with translator's notes); an editorial reconstruction synthesizing the work's argument; a critical commentary addressing physics-feasibility issues and methodological observations; and an appendix cataloguing internal cross-references and external bibliographic citations. The principal analytical contribution is the documentary chain analysis: tracing how the headline 16.65 Tesla / 32-solenoid / 1.65·10³ A engineering specification originates in the closed-form derivation on page 12 of the Работа №8 addendum (PDF p. 99) and forwards through the Ball Lightning paper, the Hot TYS d+d work, Работа №2 main body, and Supplement №2³. The edition catalogues all 35+ external citations across the corpus (most heavily Bakulin/Kononovich/Moroz «Курс общей астрономии» Moscow 1966 with 18 citations, and the Soviet Physical Encyclopedic Dictionary 1983 with 7 citations), identifies the three Galactic-refinement works (Работы №5/№9/№12) as an iterated revision sequence, resolves the documentary chain by identifying Работа №12 page 4 as the «приложение I» geometric construction referenced from Работа №9, and surfaces eleven substantive discoveries documented in the Master Inventory's Section 6. The original source manuscripts are archived publicly at cernohajev.omeka.net and the corpus has been published in popular form as Engineering Infinity: Earth's First Interstellar Blueprint (Sticco, Černohajeva-Sticco, Fialho, 2025).
