ABSTRACT The objective of this study is to analyze the political culture of adults aged 65 and older in the municipality of Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, focusing on their perception of democracy and their recent electoral influence, considering their role as political actors and their partisan trajectory in the aftermath of the 2021 election. The application of a survey to 384 people from this segment of the population in different districts and electoral sections of the municipality allows us to visualize how these voters can define an election through the high level of participation, the hard vote for a political party, and political influence in the family. The results obtained allow us to analyze how disenchantment with previous governments, help received from the welfare pension, and trust placed in the presidential institution of Andrés Manuel López Obrador are factors that influence elections.
