Dentigerous cysts are the second most common odontogenic cysts, typically forming around unerupted teeth. Their pathogenesis remains uncertain, with both developmental and inflammatory origins proposed. Early diagnosis and intervention are crucial to prevent complications such as root resorption, bone destruction, and tooth displacement. The aim of this case series is to evaluate the clinical, radiographic, and histopathological characteristics of dentigerous cysts and assess treatment outcomes based on a literature review. A case series of eight pediatric patients aged 7–11 years diagnosed with dentigerous cysts was analyzed. Clinical examination, radiographic assessment, and histopathological evaluation confirmed the diagnoses. Treatment modalities included marsupialization with follow-up monitoring for healing and tooth eruption. Postoperative follow-up (6–30 months) revealed successful resolution of lesions and spontaneous eruption of affected teeth in most cases. Radiographic assessments confirmed significant bone regeneration and proper alignment of the permanent teeth. The importance of early intervention and appropriate treatment selection is key to optimizing outcomes for dentigerous cysts in pediatric patients. Conservative approaches like marsupialization facilitate spontaneous eruption, minimize surgical trauma and preserve adjacent structures. Long-term monitoring/surveillance ensures proper occlusion and prevents recurrence. Multidisciplinary approach involving pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, and orthodontists has been shown to enhance treatment success and support normal craniofacial development.
