Abstract Lynch syndrome is the most common cause of hereditary colorectal cancer and is primarily associated with colorectal and endometrial tumours. Its association with oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma is exceptional and scarcely documented; here, we describe a case with this distinctive feature.
