Education is the pillar of the development of any country. Only through education, the citizens of a society can improve their standard of living. John Dewey has said in the context of education that "Education is not preparation for life; Education is life itself ". That is, education is an integral part of human life. Education begins with the primary education system. To run this education system smoothly, teachers should be provided with regular training during their service period. District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) are important institutions established for the training and educational development of teachers. These institutions were established at the district level in 1987 on the basis of the recommendation of the National Education Policy 1986. The main objective of DIETs is to provide pre-service and in-service training to teachers. In-service teacher training programs are very important for the professional development of teachers. For example, it can change the teaching attitude of teachers, their technical awareness, etc. A teacher with a positive attitude has an important role in the educational development of students. On the other hand, in the present digital age, it is very important for teachers to be technically aware. A technically empowered teacher can make their teaching process interesting and effective. Therefore, training institutes should keep organizing technical training programs from time to time because only a technically empowered teacher can create a bright future for students by fulfilling their changing needs.
