The subject of the presented work is the sign systems and symbols used in the game "Atomic Heart", as well as their interaction with the player and the cultural context. Semiotic analysis reveals the depth of meanings and cultural layers of the game, covers such aspects as the study of visual and audio elements that create significant images and concepts; analysis of the plot and narrative structure, covering the themes embedded in the game; an assessment of the influence of Soviet history on the design and content of the game; the ways in which the mechanics of the game interact with symbolism and contribute to the creation of meaning. The modern historical stage is characterized by a rethinking of the image of the Soviet Union, an appeal to the positive experience of the past, this is certainly reflected in the considered multiplayer game. The authors used the methods of philosophical, semiotic analysis, dialectical and historical methods. Analytical and synthetic methods were also used to identify interrelations. At present, there is a body of philosophical, sociological and cultural studies in Russian and world science devoted to the semiotic analysis of video games. However, there are no works aimed at studying the game "Atomic Heart" from the point of view of the interaction of Soviet aesthetics and the concept of technopessimism in the field of modern cultural codes. Coverage of the influence of social and historical factors on the semiotics of the game makes the study relevant and significant. The presented results can be useful for further research in the field of philosophy of culture, philosophy of technology, sociology, cultural studies, as well as for the development of practical strategies for the formation of historical memory in Russian society.
