The electoral campaign carried out by candidates during the election period results in a set of negative environmental impacts represented by light, sound, air and intellectual pollution, as the candidate uses electoral propaganda vocabulary with high lighting and inconsistent colours, which negatively affects citizens.Then, due to the activities and events run by the candidate, noise and sounds are annoying and may disturb the general tranquility and tranquility within residential neighborhoods. In addition to the above, the frequent use of various means of transportation during the election campaign period leads to the release of toxic gases from cars and motorcycles. This explains the emergence and increase of serious diseases, including cancer. On the other hand, due to technological progress and the emergence of artificial intelligence techniques, intellectual pollution has increased. This includes rumours, defamation, insults, and the installation of fabricated photos and videos with the intention of distorting the reputation of the competing candidate.The study aims to determine the environmental damage resulting from the electoral campaign through a realistic study of the situation of elections in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and then explain the proper legal adaptation of the candidate’s civil liability in light of Iraqi civil and environmental legislation and modern comparative laws, including the amended French Civil Code, and then Highlighting the adequacy of traditional tort provisions to cover environmental damage.The study reached a set of conclusions and presented a set of proposals and recommendations,
