When I first proposed a minor in AI and UX for students outside the design school, the question I heard most often was, "Why would a non-designer need to understand design? My answer then is the same as it is now—because everyone is building things. Engineers are building products. Business students are building ventures. Everyone is making decisions that affect users. And almost none of them have been taught to ask why before they ask how.
Greeshma Sharma (Wed,) studied this question.
