Member Spotlights: Akanksha Garg

What do you do, and how long have you been doing it? I am a Principal designer in AWS, and operate as a design systems expert and product leader. I lead the design and development of agentic UX patterns and atomic, accessible React components for the Cloudscape Design System, AWS's open-source design system powering thousands of product teams across the organization. I also lead the design for agentic AI in AWS products, shaping how millions of users will interact with AI-powered cloud infrastructure. I've been at AWS since 2019, growing from an intern to Principal Designer over six years, learning something new everyday. I graduated from University of Texas at Austin in 2020 with a M.Sc in Information Science.
