Abstract The green and digital transitions represent both critical challenges and emerging opportunities for regions in Greece. This study explores prevailing trends, perceptions, and barriers to these transformations using original survey data obtained from the JustReDI survey. Based on statistical and econometric analysis of over 5000 observations, the paper examines dimensions of the green transition, including energy poverty, perceived impacts of climate change, institutional trust, and future outlook, as well as digital transition themes, such as user experience with digital public services, perceptions of inequality, and impacts on quality of life. The analysis focuses on capturing the differences between (i) the region of Aegean and Ionian islands, (ii) the region of Crete, (iii) the region of Attica, (iv) the group of the four regions constituting Northern Greece, and (v) the group of the remaining four regions of Central Greece. By exploring how different areas experience and interpret these transitions, the study seeks to uncover region-specific dynamics and identify policy-relevant insights to support a more inclusive, equitable, and resilient transformation. The findings aim to inform the design of targeted policies that respond to local conditions while promoting regional cohesion.
