Backround: In the treatment of obesity, bariatric surgery has been used in recent years in cases where the people with obesity cannot lose weight permanently despite applying other treatment methods to lose weight at higher levels. In this study, it was aimed to determine the experiences of nurses working in the bariatric surgery service regarding post-surgical patient care. Methods: The study is a phenomenological, qualitative research. The study was carried out with 8 participants who were caring for patients undergoing bariatric surgery. The data were collected using in-depth, face-to-face interview technique with a semi-structured interview form and a personal information form. The data were evaluated with document analysis and content analysis, using thematic analysis and metaphor. Results: As a result of the participants sharing their experiences, the findings consisted of 3 main themes, 9 sub-themes and 32 codes. These main themes were identified as obesity, bariatric surgery and bariatric patients' care process. Conclusion: With the themes obtained, important information about nursing care after bariatric surgery was provided and it was recommended that nurses providing care in this field should receive the necessary training within the scope of this process.
