This study examines the impact of overtime and work-life balance indicators on employee retention, with specific reference to Vy Systems, Chennai. In the contemporary IT and staffing industry, employees are frequently subjected to extended working hours and high-performance expectations, making work-life balance a critical organizational concern. The research adopts a quantitative approach using primary data collected through structured questionnaires from employees across various levels. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis and inferential techniques are used to evaluate relationships among variables. The findings reveal that excessive overtime negatively affects employee well-being, job satisfaction, and retention, while effective work-life balance practices significantly enhance employee commitment and organizational loyalty. The study highlights the need for organizations to implement flexible work policies and regulate overtime practices to ensure sustainable workforce management. The results contribute to both academic research and practical HR strategies aimed at improving employee retention in dynamic work environments.
